Question
रूपकम् ।

Answer

The first two hymns contain metaphor. Just as a human body has head, eye, mouth and stomach, in the similar manner, the body of the Brahma has stomach in the form of अन्तरिक्षम् (means the space between the earth and heaven.) Heaven दिवम् is the head of Brahma. The Sun (सूर्य) and the moon (चन्द्रमाः) are like eyes of Brahma. The fire (अग्निम्) whose आस्यम् mouth is the face. I salute to such eldest Brahma.
The language becomes ornamental when figure of speech is used in language. We do not use ornamental language in our routine life but it should be used in literature and in meetings.
