Educational sector schemes for women in Gujarat:
According to the 2011 census, Gujarat has a literacy rate of 78.03%.
Male literacy is 85.75 percent and female literacy is 69.68 percent.
Gujarat has an urban literacy rate of 81.00% and a rural literacy rate of 61.40%.
In Gujarat, female literacy rate is lower than male literacy rate and rural literacy rate is also lower.
The Government of Gujarat has formulated various schemes to increase the literacy rate of women and intensive efforts are being made for the implementation of those schemes.

Economic Sector Schemes for Women in Gujarat:
According to the 2011 census, the total participation rate in Gujarat is 80.54%.
The male participation rate is 57.16 per cent and the female participation rate is 23.38 per cent.
In Gujarat, 57.47 per cent women work in public organized sector and 42.53 per cent women work in private organized sector.
