The discussion of the relationship between human and the environment is central to human geography.
Different approaches have been adopted for the analysis of these relationships.

(5) Human welfare oriented approach.
Humanitarian approach:
After World War II (1939-45) new problems related to human welfare arose.
New approaches were adopted to understand these problems.
Result: A new ideology of human welfare approach was born.
This approach studies regional issues such as poverty, unemployment, hunger, famine, wars, apartheid, racism, class wars, pollution, terrorism, etc. in the context of the natural environment.
This approach emphasizes the kind of socio-economic systems through which all citizens of the world enjoy equal rights and control over all the world's resources.
The main purpose of this approach is social justice.
Human welfare can be achieved if human beings can easily get their basic needs-food, clothing, shelter, etc.
