The main effects of Bhakti and Sufi Movements are as under:
(1) The Bhakti and Sufi Saints, Acharyas, Thinkers, Chishti Saints, etc. has a profound impact on pretentiousness, discrimination of high and low, superstitions and many other social evils prevailing in the society. Therefore,
they were reduced in the society
(2) The common people also began to understand the true meaning of religion.
(3) Now the common man began to understand that God belongs to all and we can attain Him through devotion
(4) Discrimination among different religions decreased. Among the disciplcs of saint Kabir, Hindus and Muslims were included.
(5) High and low discrimination in society decreased. During this time many saints forgot their religious differences and
made everyone their disciples. Mirabai, Raidas, Raskhan, etc. are the excellent examples of this. Saiyad Mohammad Chaus of Gwalior lived at isolated places in Vindhyachal with Hindu saints for many years.
(6) A number of Hindu mystical actions and prayers have been added to the Muslim mystical ideology. For example, shaving to the head of a person accepting Sufism, holding a anbeen (Bhikshapatra), offering water to the visitors, holding musical mushairas, etc.
(7) Bhakti and Sufi Movements transformed the society. Unity was established in Hindu-Muslim society.
