(i) It is clear from the figure, that shaded parts are 3 out of 4
Shaded parts in fraction$=\frac{3}{4}$
$\therefore$ Percentage of shaded part $=\left(\frac{3}{4} \times 100\right) \%=75 \%$
Hence, 75% of the figure is shaded.
(ii) From the figure,
fraction of figure which is not shaded
$=\frac{1}{16}+\frac{1}{16}+\frac{1}{8}+\frac{1}{4}=\frac{1+1+2+4}{16}=\frac{8}{16}=\frac{1}{2}$
i.e. half of the figure is shaded.
Percentage of figure which is shaded
$=\left(\frac{1}{2} \times 100\right) \%=50 \%$
Hence, 50% of the figure is shaded.
