Bulliform Cells: In the leaves of some plants, especially monocotyledons, some upper epidermal cells are swollen. These are called bulliform cells. They store water and swell due to which the leaves open. As soon as these cells release water, the leaves fold and close. Example: Leaves of plants of Gramineae family.
