Question 13 Marks
State the 10% law, associated with the flow of energy in trophic levels of organisms.
Answer
View full question & answer→10% energy law is a law used in a food chain where only the total energy of 10% is transferred through the next organism in the next trophic level. When the trophic level increase the energy will be more in the producer and least in the last trophic level.
And the example of this is
The sun gives 100 joules if energy to the producer but the producer uses the energy in respiration and other processes but only % of this energy is used in the photosynthesis that makes only 10% energy passes through the next organism. This processes happen till the last organism gets energy in the food chain.
