Given: $h _1=3 cm, u =-10 cm, f =-20 cm$ We know that$\frac{1}{\text{v}}+\frac{1}{\text{u}}=\frac{1}{\text{f}}$
$\frac{1}{\text{v}}=\frac{1}{\text{f}}-\frac{1}{\text{u}}=\frac{1}{(-20)}-\frac{1}{(-10)}$
$\frac{1}{20}+\frac{1}{10}=\frac{-1+2}{20}=\frac{1}{20}$
$\therefore\text{v}=20\text{cm}$
The image is formed at a distance of 20cm behind the mirror.$\text{m}=-\frac{\text{v}}{\text{u}}=\frac{\text{h}_2}{\text{h}_1}$
$\Rightarrow-\frac{(20)}{(-10)}=\frac{\text{h}_2}{3}$
$\Rightarrow\text{h}_2=6\text{cm}$
Image is 6cm in size, virtual and erect.
