With the help of this therapy, a patient can recognize his negative thoughts, errors in thoughts and reasoning and misjudgements in interpretation. The therapist helps the patient to try out the new interpretation and find out new ways of thinking in the daily life. This method has been successfully applied in panic disorders and anxiety disorders.
