The speech said by the noble people can not be reversed.
Explanation: The present shloka has been taken from 'सुभाषितमधुबिन्दवः' In this shloka, if is said that the words spoken by the noble people can not be reversed. Here the poet indicates uniformity and determination in the speech, sincerity towards keeping promise and stability of mind.
Noble people always keep their promises, even if they have to put their life on stake. We find many examples of people in history who sacrificed their lives to keep their promise. So it is truly said by the poet that even if the sun rises in the west, if the mountain (Meru) moves, if the fire becomes cool and if the lotus grows on the top of the Mountain, then also the speech said by the noble people can not be reversed. It is a fact that if there is instability in noble people's is speech, people will certainly lose trust in them. Therefore it is said in the Ramayana that 'रघुकुल रीत सदा चली आई, अरु प्राणजाय पर वचन न जाय'।
