The great poet Bhartuhari has composed three Shatakas such as Nitishatak, Vairagyashatak and Shrinagarshatak. He is famous due to these Shatakas. There are many shlokas in Nitishatak which provide motivation to human being to develope their personality in order to be great. One of the fmaous shlokas of Nitishatak says that -
Patience in trouble, forgiveness in progress, cleverness of speech in a meeting, courage in war, liking for fame and habit for acquisition of knowledge are natural qualities of great people. These qualities can make a person great.
