Question
What is the difference between vapour and gas?

Answer

A gas below its critical temperature $\left(T_c\right)$ is called vapour. Vapour is an unstable state and becomes liquid on cooling. Gas is a stable state, and can be liquefied at low temperature and high pressure. Gas can be liquefied only at or below $T_C$ by applying high pressure.
