Question
एतेषां सर्ववृक्षाणाम् उच्छेदं न तु कारयेत्।

Answer

Translation :All these trees should not be destroyed. The poem "विना वृक्षं गृहं शून्यम्" has been taken from 184th chapter of Shantiparva of the Mahabharat. It is said in the first line of 7th shloka of this poem that all these trees should not be destroyed. A tree too has life as all living creatures do. A human being obtains different type of knowledge with the help of different sense organs and then acts accordingly. Similarly a tree does like this. A tree and a son always do welfare. A house without having tree in its courtyard should be considered worthless so every person should plant trees and bring them up. Trees should not be cut down or destroyed.
